Student Appreciation Day—2007

Our way of saying thank you to our students and their families.

What is Student Appreciation Day?  It’s our way of thanking our students and their families for being part of our school.  Student Appreciation day for the 2006-2007 school year was held in the Anson B. Nixon Park in Kennett Square.  We had the pavilion closest to the playground so kids could have access to all playground equipment.  Additionally, a “Moon Bounce” provided extra fun.   Picnic food was served—your standard hot dogs, chips, and drinks. Miss Cathy stepped back and let others man the grill.  A wise idea since we wanted edible food.  (The unused food was donated to a local mission that provides meals for the homeless.)   Pick-n-paint pottery provided a nice break from the hot weather we had that day.  We had a contest to compete for two prizes:  an MP3 player, and $50.  There was also a drawing for our “pooped” Moms—a spa gift certificate.  It was a great day of fun with friends and the best part it was all free.  We hope all who attended had a great time, and encourage all to attend in 2008.  Date will be announced soon—check back for more details in March.

Just hanging around!
