Our Triple Threat Program creates well-rounded performers, builds confidence, and opens doors for a future in the arts for the SERIOUS student.  Our most recent graduating class includes students who have received scholarships to go on to prestigious theatre programs including AMDA (the American Musical and Dramatic Academy),  NYU Tisch School of the Arts, DeSales University,  and others.  One student has already begun her professional career, performing aboard Disney Cruises.

Our curriculum is designed to turn out true "Triple Threats".  A typical week includes Ballet and Acting twice a week; Jazz, Tap, History of Broadway, Voice, and special classes once a week.

Why these courses?

• Ballet: Ballet is the foundation of dance, and therefore will help with other styles of dance needed for the musical theatre stage.  It also trains strength, balance, and control.  Having a clear sense for the control of your body allows an actor to truly embody their characters. You won’t give a stiff performance.
• Jazz: Jazz is the most utilized style of dance on the musical theatre stage.
• Tap: If you don’t know how to tap, there are a huge number of shows for which you might as well not even audition (42nd Street, Singing in the Rain, Crazy for You, Anything Goes, etc).
• Private voice: You need to be a great singer to make it in musical theatre.  Voice lessons can increase your range, control, and projection.
• Acting: Actors are made, not born. Acting lessons are important plots  to learn techniques for creating complete characters for believable performances.
• History of Broadway: Learn about the composers, lyracists, and the plots of Broadway musicals.  This will help with sight reading, and build a repertoire of music which will help with auditioning.
• Special classes: These will be courses to supplement the core courses.  They will round out the theatrical education. They may include stagecraft, stage makeup, puppetry and masks, resume building, improvisation, Shakespeare, dialects, social dance, and music theory for the singer.

Although all students will take the same classes, there is some variation. We recognize that there are different backgrounds, and we will account for that. As an example, some students have many years of dance….they would go into a more advanced dance classes.  Those with less experience would be in a less advanced program (it’s important for the dancers in a class be at about the same level of proficiency.)

The yearly tuition is $4800.  The cost can either be broken into 12 monthly installments of $400, or 10 monthly installments of $480.  That is a substantial sum, so what do you get for your money?

• Many hours of Professional instruction in the 3 major facets of musical theatre.  At present rates, We would normally charge $400 for unlimited group classes per month.
• One private voice lesson per week.  At present rates this would normally be $105 per month.
• Additional private lessons would be available at a 35% discount—additional group lessons (e.g. hip hop, lyrical) would be FREE.
• The participants would also perform in a school “cabaret” type show.
• A team of highly qualified instructors working together to maximize your child's artistic development.

In addition, you won’t have to shop around to get all the pieces of the “performing arts puzzle” à la carte.  Save time, gas and mileage, and avoid scheduling nightmares. Maximum class sizes are in place to ensure adequate individualized attention.

Those wishing to audition should prepare 16 bars of both an up-tempo song and a ballad and a one minute monologue.  Additionally, prospective senior students with dance experience should also prepare a one minute ballet or jazz piece to showcase their dance abilities, and bring tap shoes.  Those with little to no dance experience may opt out of this requirement, and be placed in beginner level dance classes if accepted into the program.
